The Director of Public Works is authorized and directed to adopt and enforce regulations and specifications in accordance with this subchapter for the purpose of providing control of the installation of sewer connections and inspection thereof. The Director of Public Works shall maintain accurate and complete records of all permits issued for an inspection made of the connections to the public sewers. He shall also require the abandonment and removal of connections to the public sewers which violate the provisions of this subchapter. (1993 Code 52.13)
