The following rules and regulations are adopted for the collection of the garbage within the City:
(a) Garbage must be in cans with lids or in sealed containers.
(b) Cans must be placed at curb the day before collection after 6:00 p.m.
(c) The contents of cans may not weigh more than 75 pounds.
(d) The monthly rate does not include tree limbs, shrubs, leaves, grass clippings or any other yard waste. All yard waste may be accepted pursuant to the current policy as set forth by the waste collection contractor and adopted by the City.
(e) Any loose material must be tied in a bundle.
(f) Drums and barrels are not acceptable as containers.
(g) The collector is not responsible for damage to garbage cans.
(h) Collection service shall occur on all holidays except for Christmas and New Year's Day.
(i) Hazardous materials will not be accepted.
(j) The waste collection contractor should be contacted directly if there are problems with waste pickup and disposal.
(k) There is a six-can limit on all commercial units per collection.
(l) With the exception of (d) above, there is no limit on residential units, including large items, refuse and waste from residential property.
