The fee required of every owner or agent for any business conducted or engaged in within the town, as required by this chapter, shall be set forth and made a part of the Schedule of Fees and Charges adopted by the Town Council, as amended from time to time. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the fee shall in no case be more than the maximum permitted by state law for that particular business or enterprise.
