(A) It is hereby adopted by reference that the latest edition of the code adopted by the North Carolina Department of Insurance, known as the International Fire Prevention Code, with all North Carolina Amendments and all subsequent amendments, revisions, and appendixes, shall become the town fire code. The provisions thereof shall be controlling with the limits of the fire district.
(B) The provisions and mandatory permits listed in the International Fire Prevention Code are hereby adopted. A violation of this section is punishable as a misdemeanor.
