The Fire Department shall consist of the Chief of the Fire Department and a sufficient number of full-time, part-time or voluntary firefighters to maintain and operate the Department. The Town Administrator shall appoint the chief and approve the rules of appointment to the Department for all members. The Chief shall appoint such officers of the Department as are provided for in the rules of the Department. The Department may, from time to time, adopt its own rules and regulations governing the Department, subject to the approval of the Town Administrator.
