No person shall interfere with a firefighter in the discharge of his or her duty or hinder him or her in the performance of his or her duty, nor shall any person loiter about any fire station or change, handle, or meddle in any manner with any fire engine or any other fire apparatus. A violation of this section is punishable as a misdemeanor.
