(A) Violations. Any person, business, corporation or organization who violates any of the provisions of this chapter; or fails, neglects or refuses to comply with the provisions of this chapter, including violations of terms and conditions established in connection with the approval of a subdivision or fails to comply with restoration orders; or who knowingly makes false statements in any documents required to be submitted under the provisions herein, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. Each day that a violation continues shall constitute a separate offense.
(B) Civil enforcement. In the event of a violation or a threatened violation of this chapter, the zoning administrator, in addition to other remedies, may institute appropriate actions or proceedings to prevent, restrain, correct, or abate the violations or threatened violations. It shall be the duty of the city attorney to institute this action.
