(A) Generally. In order to guide the wise development and utilization of shorelands of public waters for the preservation of water quality, natural characteristics, economic values and the general health, safety and welfare, all public waters in the unincorporated areas of the city have been given a public waters classification; and uses of shorelands in these classes are hereby designated by land use districts, based on the compatibility of the designated type of land use with the public waters classification.
(B) Public waters classification system. The public waters of the city have been classified by the Commissioner of Conservation as follows.
(1) Natural environment, lakes and streams.
(a) 13-67 Mud
(b) 13-63 Chain
(2) Recreational development lakes. None.
(3) General development lakes and streams. 13-68 Fish.
(4) Critical lakes and streams. These lakes and streams are, at present, subject to the standards specified for natural environment lakes and streams. As further studies are completed, more restrictive standards may be specified for each to reflect their special problems.
