(A) Water core facility expenditures - connection charges.
(1) Beginning on the effective date of this chapter, the water connection charge per REU shall be $3,000.
(2) The water connection charge shall be collected with new construction building permits.
(B) Water core facility expenditures - area charges.
(1) Beginning on the effective date of this chapter, the water area charge per REU per acre shall be $1,000.
(2) The water area charge shall be collected at the time of subdivision approval or the petition for water service.
(C) Water operating expenditures - user fees.
(1) Water user fees include a quarterly service charge or base rate of $66 per REU plus a water consumption fee of $3.11 per 1000 gallons, based upon metered water usage.
(2) There is an additional conservation fee of $1 per 1000 gallons for water consumption after the first 40,000 gallons per REU in any quarter.
(D) Water meter charge.
(1) The fee for water meters is part of the water connection charge per REU and shall be collected with new construction building permits.
(2) The fee for single water meters required for multiple REUs shall be determined by the city.
(3) The city may also allow additional meters to be installed for sprinkling systems, swimming pools and similar uses at a fee determined by the city.
