A. It is unlawful and an offense for any person to program an alarm automatic dialing device to any telephone lines that, when activated, dials the digits 9-1-1. Any person convicted of this offense may be punished by a fine of one hundred dollars ($100.00), plus costs, or by imprisonment for not more than fifteen (15) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
B. It is unlawful and an offense for any alarm system to fail to disconnect or reprogram an alarm automatic dialing device that is programmed to dial the city's emergency operations center. Upon conviction of this offense, the owner may be punished by a fine of one hundred dollars ($100.00), plus costs or by imprisonment for not more than fifteen (15) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
