A. The fire prevention code and the life safety codes shall be enforced by the fire department of the city, under the supervision of the chief of the fire department. The chief of the fire department may detail such members of the fire department as inspectors as shall from time to time be necessary. The city may appoint such inspectors as the board of trustees may authorize. The terms "Bureau of Fire Prevention" and "Chief of the Bureau of Fire Prevention", wherever found in the code, shall mean fire department and chief of the fire department, respectively, of this city. Whenever the word "municipality" is used in the code, it means this city.
B. The chief of the fire department may detail such members of the fire department as inspectors as may from time to time be necessary. (Prior Code, Sec. 8-2)
