There is hereby adopted by the city board of trustees for the purpose of prescribing regulations governing buildings and structures and conditions hazardous to life and property from fire or explosion, that certain code known as "The BOCA Basic Fire Prevention Code" issued by the Building Officials and Code Administrators International, Inc., being particularly the latest edition thereof and the whole thereof, save and except such portions as are hereinafter deleted, modified, or amended by this code. At least one copy of the basic fire prevention code is on file in the office of the city clerk. The basic fire prevention code is hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein. From the date on which this code shall take effect, the provisions thereof shall be controlling within the limits of the city. (Ord. 1984-9, 2-16-1984)
