12-211: PROTEST TO AMENDMENT:
If a written request against an amendment, change, or repeal of the ordinance amending the zoning on any subject property is filed with the city council within three (3) days before the time and place of the public meeting by the city council by owners of twenty percent (20%) or more of the area of the lots included in such proposed change, or by the owners of fifty percent (50%) or more of the area of the lots immediately abutting any side of the territory included in such proposed change, or separated therefrom only by an alley or street less than three hundred feet (300') wide, such zoning amendment shall not become effective unless by the favorable vote of three-fifths (3/5) of all the members of the city council.
