9-208: COLOR, IDENTIFICATION, EQUIPMENT AND INSPECTION OF VEHICLES:
   A.   Vehicles used by private security officers providing patrol service shall be a solid color. They shall have on each door, in four inch (4") block letters, the words "Private Security Patrol" or the name of the private security company. The lettering shall be permanently attached to the vehicle. Auxiliary lights on the vehicle shall be white or blue. The use of black and white cars, red lights and sirens is prohibited.
   B.   Each vehicle used on duty by a private security officer may be equipped with radio equipment capable of transmitting and receiving on the city police frequency. Such equipment shall be used only in accordance with FCC requirements and regulations of the police department. The vehicle may be equipped with a two-way radio which allows communication with a company supervisor or dispatcher who has available communications with the police communications bureau.
   C.   Each vehicle used by private security officers shall be subject to inspection by the police department. (Prior Code, Sec. 5-18)
