At the discretion of the City Council, in lieu of the dedication of Parkland or payment fees, the City Council may require the subdivider to install an emergency storm siren within the proposed subdivision or make a cash contribution towards an emergency storm siren in an alternate location. In the event a siren is required of the subdivider, the siren, its location, and specifications for its construction, must be approved in advance by the city. In the event a cash contribution towards an emergency storm siren is required, the cash contribution shall be no less that the amount which would be calculated using Section 12-475.
