§ 50.02 PURPOSE AND STATUTORY AUTHORITY.

(A) The purpose of this chapter is to promote the public safety, health, and welfare of the citizens of the county in the storage, collection, transportation, and disposal of solid waste throughout the county.

(B) Under provisions pursuant to G.S. §§ 153A-121; 153A-132.1; 153A-136; 153A-149(c)(31); 153A-274; and 153A-292, the county hereby exercises its authority to enact these regulations.
