(A) Purpose. To establish special cleaning assignments to ensure each EMS station is properly cleaned.
(B) Policy.
(1) The following sequence will be used as cleaning assignments.
(a) Daily. Wash all vehicles.
(b) Weekly.
1. Monday. Strip and wax floors in ambulance and start generator and run ten minutes;
2. Tuesday. Tighten screws and nuts and clean walls and cabinets on ambulances;
3. Wednesday. Clean stockroom and fold linen; and
4. Thursday. Wrap and restock supplies.
(c) Monthly. Clean battery post and terminals on the first Monday of each month.
(d) Tri-annually. The following schedule will be used for waxing ambulances and window cleaning at all stations:
1. March of each year:
a. Shift A: outside windows;
b. Shift B: wax all units; and
c. Shift C: inside windows.
2. July of each year:
a. Shift A: inside windows;
b. Shift B: outside windows; and
c. Shift C: wax all units.
3. November of each year:
a. Shift A: wax all units;
b. Shift B: inside windows; and
c. Shift C: outside windows.
(e) Other cleaning assignments. Other cleaning assignments may be given by the Director, Assistant Director, or shift supervisor as needed.
