This chapter is intended to establish a Hansen tree board. The tree board's major objectives are to apply for, gain and retain tree city USA status. This status, once obtained, is an important tool in the other major goal; that being to preserve, protect and properly maintain trees within the Hansen community through education and sound arboricultural practices, resulting in a safe, healthy, beautiful environment in the city.
