A. Permit Required: It is unlawful for any person, other than authorized city employees, to remove, break, repair or disturb any curb, sidewalk, surfacing or any other structure, or to fill or excavate or to construct any structure, either permanent or temporary, or to do any other work within or upon the streets or alleys without first obtaining a permit therefor as provided in this section. (1991 Code § 12.04.010)
B. Application: Any person desiring to do any work within or upon any street or alley shall file an application to the city clerk. (1991 Code § 12.04.020; amd. 2011 Code)
C. City Approval Required: Permits for any work involving the removal or destruction of any street surfacing, curb, curb and gutter, sidewalk, sign or other structure within a public right of way shall be approved by the city. (1991 Code § 12.04.030)
