1-7-2: PETITIONS:
   A.   Signatures Required: To enact an ordinance by initiative or to repeal an ordinance by referendum, there shall be attached or appended to the petition the signatures of the legal voters of the city equal to at least twenty percent (20%) of the total number of electors who cast votes at the last general election in the city. (1991 Code § 1.08.020; amd. 2011 Code)
   B.   Filing: Referendum petitions with the requisite number of signatures attached shall be filed with the city clerk not less than sixty (60) days following the final adoption of the ordinance subject to referendum. (1991 Code § 1.08.030)
   C.   Requirements: Referendum and initiative petitions shall conform with the requirements for signature, verification of valid petitions, printing of petition and time limits, except as expressly modified to meet the purposes of initiative and referendum, to be as nearly as practicable as provided in Idaho Code sections 34-1701 through 34-1705.
