(A) Where there is town water available within 500 feet and connection is possible, the subdivision shall be provided with a complete water distribution system which shall adequately serve all lots, which shall include appropriately spaced fire hydrants, and which shall be properly connected with the public water supply system. Where a public water supply system is not accessible within 500 feet of the subdivision, the subdivider shall be required to install alternate water supply facilities approved by the Town Engineer. Where individual lot wells are to be installed, lot dimensions shall meet the approval of the County Board of Health. In any case, water supply facilities shall be installed as required by standards and specifications as approved by the County Board of Health.
(B) Installation of water lines shall meet the standards of the state’s Department of Environmental Management and the providing utility.
(C) Design of water supply systems shall be in accordance with the construction standards of the town and as recommended by the American Water Works Association Standards.
