(A) There is hereby established a Department of Economic Development of the town, to be controlled by a commission known as the town’s Economic Development Commission (the “Commission”).
(B) The Commission shall be constituted and organized and shall have such purposes, powers, and duties as are provided in the Act (as presently enacted and in effect and as it may hereafter be amended).
(C) The three members of the Commission shall be appointed by the President of the Town Council. One of the members shall be selected by the President of the Town Council, one of the members shall be nominated by the County Council, and one of the members shall be nominated by the Town Council. After the adoption of the ordinance codified herein, the Clerk-Treasurer of the town shall promptly notify the County Council of its right to nominate a member of the Commission.
