§ 52.05 PRIVATE SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM.
   (A)   Connecting building sewer to private system. Where a public sanitary sewer is not available under the provisions of this subchapter, the building sewer shall be connected to a private sewage disposal system complying with all recommendations of the State Board of Health and/or the town/system.
   (B)   Connecting private sewage disposal system to public sewer. At such time as a public sewer becomes available to a property served by a private sewage disposal system, as provided in this subchapter, a direct connection shall be made to the public sewer in compliance with this subchapter, and any septic tanks, cesspools, and similar private sewage disposal facilities shall be filled with sand, gravel, or other approved materials and abandoned.
   (C)   Maintenance of private sewer disposal system. The owner shall operate and maintain the private sewage disposal facilities in a sanitary manner at all times, at no expense to the town/system.
   (D)   Noninterference with additional requirements. No statement in this section shall be construed to interfere with any additional requirements that may be imposed by the state/local health office.
