The fixed rates or charges for the use of, and for the service supplied by, the combined waterworks and sewerage system of the village, based upon the amount of water consumed as shown by the water meters, are as follows:

Multiple units | If more than one living unit and/or using unit are served by a single metered connection to the system, then the owner of the multi-unit property shall be responsible to pay the bills for each un-metered living unit and/or using unit as reflected by the said meter and shall pay a sewer charge of $20 and a single meter convenience fee of $5 per unit regardless of occupancy in addition to the usual monthly service charges for water use per the single meter. If a building or structure has multiple living units, each with its own water meter, but no village-owned curb stops exist outside of the building for the purpose of shutting water off to each individual unit, then the owner of the building, not the individual resident of each unit, will be responsible for the water deposit and the monthly bills and will receive the monthly bills for each unit until such time when curb stops are installed. |
Fire hydrant rental | An annual minimum charge of $1,650 or at the rate of $82.50 per hydrant, whichever is greater. The charges are to be made against the village and paid to the Water and Sewer Fund in equal monthly installments. |
Lawn and fire sprinkler system service | Residential and commercial customers requiring a separate water service line and/or meter for fire protection and/or lawn sprinkler system use shall be charged a minimum sum of $6 per month per extra line and/or meter plus the regular rates, minus the sewer fee applicable. |
