(A) Pursuant to I.C. 36-2-9-18(d) the Hancock County Auditor is authorized to collect a fee of $10 for the legal description of each parcel contained in a deed for which he makes a real property endorsement.
(B) DEED is defined as a signed and usually sealed instrument containing some legal transfer, bargain or contract.
(C) The revenue from the fees shall be placed in a dedicated fund for use in maintaining plat books.
