§ 94.01 FAIR HOUSING A CIVIL RIGHT.
    (A)   The opportunity to obtain housing and other real estate without discrimination because of religion, race, color, national origin, age, sex, marital status, or sexual orientation, as prohibited by Act 453 of 1976, known as the Elliott-Larson Civil Rights Act, is hereby officially recognized by the city, and declared to be a civil right.
   (B)   The Michigan Department of Civil Rights is the administrative and investigative agency empowered to enforce the provisions of the Elliott-Larson Civil Rights Act.
