The purpose of this chapter is to safeguard the public health, safety, and welfare by controlling the design, location, use, or occupancy of all buildings and structures within the City of Hamtramck through the regulated and orderly development of land and land uses and to promote economic stability and aesthetic design in as much as it safeguards the public health, safety, and welfare.
