§ 150.006 FEES.
   (A)   Schedule of fees. The City Council, shall by resolution or ordinance, establish reasonable fees to be charged by the city for acts and services performed by the code official or his or her duly authorized representative, the Construction Board of Appeals, the Plan Commission and the Zoning Board of Appeals. The fees shall be intended to bear a reasonable relation to the cost, including overhead, to the city for the acts and services, including, without limitation in case of the city, issuance of building permits, examination of plans and specifications, inspection of construction undertaken pursuant to a building permit and the issuance of certificate of use and occupancy, and in the case of the Construction and Zoning Boards of Appeals, hearing appeals in accordance with law and ordinances of this city.
   (B)   Fees; effective. Fees authorized by resolution or ordinance, unless specifically set forth in a dollar amount within the resolution or ordinance, shall be effective upon publication in a newspaper having general circulation in the city.
