(A) Registration. Residential builders, maintenance and alteration contractors, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, alarm, awning or sign contractors who are lawfully licensed by the state shall be permitted to do work for which they are licensed in the city upon registering as a contractor in the city limits upon payment of a fee provided by resolution or ordinance of the City Council. A license holder must make the application.
(B) Term and issuance of registration. All contractor registrations issued by the city shall expire as provided by state law and in accordance with division (A) above, which includes presentation of the license and payment of the required fee.
