For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
CHURCH. Any edifice, temple, chapel or building used exclusively for the preaching of the word of Gospel and religious services according to the liturgy, rituals or tenets of the religion or faith of the congregation belonging thereto.
OTHER PLACE OF REGULAR RELIGIOUS ASSEMBLY. Any building which is maintained regularly and principally for preaching of the word of Gospel and for religious services and instructions in accordance with the accepted practices of the congregation or in accordance with the liturgy, rituals or tenets of the religious sect or denomination of the congregation belonging thereto.
PROPERTY. Includes any edifice, temple, chapel or building used for the religious services as defined in the definitions above and all the land thereunder and next adjacent to it, and all other buildings located on the land and used in furtherance of the religious purposes of the congregation, whether the property is owned by or leased, rented or kept by or for the church or other place of regular religious assembly.
