(A) The City Clerk is hereby authorized to grant a license to any person of good character, or to any partnership or corporation, to engage in the business of operating or conducting a store, shop or other place of business for the sale of food to the public in bulk upon receiving from the applicant the proper certificate from the Health Department as hereinafter provided, and upon payment to the City Treasurer of the sum of $1 as a license fee.
(B) The license shall cover but one place of business, which shall be stated therein. Provided, that the license fees shall not be in lieu of the license fees required to be paid under the provisions of the regulations of the city relative to the sale of baked goods or any other specific food products for the sale of which regulations are now in effect or may be hereafter adopted providing for the license of the same.
(C) Every license shall expire on December 31 of each year.
