It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to sell, or offer for sale, barter or give away baby chicks, rabbits, ducklings or other fowls, live animals, fish, or reptile as novelties or as a prize in a game, contest, or other competition, whether or not dyed, colored or otherwise artificially treated. This chapter shall not be construed to prohibit the display or sale of natural chicks, eggs, or ducklings in proper brooder facilities by hatcheries, stores, or private residences.
