§ 90.006 ANIMALS IN MOTOR VEHICLE.
   (A)   No person shall leave an unattended animal in a standing or parked motor vehicle in a manner that endangers the animal's health or safety.
   (B)   An officer, firefighter, Michigan Humane Society officer, animal control officer, or other official emergency responder who holds a reasonable belief that an animal's safety is in immediate danger from heat, cold, lack of adequate ventilation, lack of food or water, or other circumstances that could reasonably be expected to cause suffering, disability, or death to the animal is authorized to take all steps that are reasonably necessary for the removal of an animal from a motor vehicle.
   (C)   The rescuing responder must leave written notice bearing their name and office, and the address of the location where the animal can be claimed.
