All testable backflow prevention devices shall be tested initially upon installation in order to confirm that the device is working properly. Subsequent testing of devices shall be conducted at a time interval specified by the city and in accordance with Michigan Department of Environmental Quality requirements. Only individuals approved by the city shall be qualified to perform such testing. Individual(s) shall certify the results of his or her testing.
