§ 51.025 DELINQUENT BILLS; SHUT-OFF.
   (A)   All bills under this subchapter which have not been paid on or before the due date set forth on the bill shall be declared delinquent. If payments are not received on or before the due date, a late fee shall be assessed. If the water charges against any premises remain delinquent for a period of one month, the water supply to the premises may be shut off and withheld until the payment of the delinquent charges is made.
   (B)   Notice of shut-off shall be mailed to the property address and provide that the water will be shut off if the bill is not paid within ten days of the date of the notice. The notice shall provide that the owner or tenant of the property may appeal to the Water Department within ten days of the date of the notice if they believe the water bill is not delinquent.
