For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
CITY WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM. The feeder and supply mains, service pipes, hydrants, meters and all their appurtenances, through which the city supplies water to its consumers.
DEPARTMENT. The Department of Public Services.
DIRECTOR. The Director of Public Services.
PREMISES. Wherever used in this subchapter, shall be held to include a lot or part of a lot, a building or a part of a building, a structure, a project or any parcel or tract of land whatsoever, to which water is being, or is to be, supplied.
