§ 34.015 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   APPROVED. That which the Fire Marshal, by rule or regulation, and as a result of demonstration or test, designates as acceptable for its intended use.
   BUILDING. As defined in the official Building Code of the city.
   DEPARTMENT or FIRE DEPARTMENT. The Fire Department of the city established in accordance with the requirements of the Charter of the city.
   DWELLING. As defined in the official Building Code of the city.
   FIRE CHIEF. The person duly appointed and acting according to the provisions of the Charter of the city.
   FIRE PREVENTION DIVISION. The Fire Prevention Division of the City Fire Department.
   FIRE MARSHAL. The Fire Marshal of the city, or his or her duly authorized representative, acting by authority of, and under the direction of the Fire Chief.
   ORDINANCE. As defined in the Charter of the city.
   OWNER, OCCUPANT, PERSON, FIRM, CORPORATION, COMPANY, ASSOCIATION or PARTNERSHIP. Shall have its ordinary meaning and shall include the plural as well as the singular.
   PREMISES. Includes all buildings and structures as well as the ground on which an occupancy is located.
   STRUCTURE. As defined in the official Building Code of the city.
