§ 33.028 UNCLAIMED PROPERTY MAY BE ASSIGNED TO CITY DEPARTMENTS; METHOD OF EFFECTUATING ASSIGNMENT.
   (A)   After expiration of the time period within which property subject to the provisions of this subchapter maybe, reclaimed as herein provided and no claim, has been made, the property may upon the request, of a city department head or other city official be assigned by resolution of the City Council to a city department for use by the department.
   (B)   All property thus assigned shall be appraised, identified and enumerated by the Chief of Police or his or her duly designated agent and accountable therefor assumed on the records of the department receiving the property and a record of all transfers of property shall be kept by the Police Department, the City Controller and any other departments as the City Council may designate.
