A. The village clerk shall compile and display at the office of said clerk during all regular business hours, certain information regarding the purpose, current operating budget, village offices and village employees of the municipal corporation as required by the Illinois Freedom of Information Act.
B. Disclosure of information shall be subject to the requirements of the Illinois Freedom of Information Act and the following rules and regulations:
1. Requests for information in the village of Hampshire shall be made in writing to the village clerk, at the Village Hall, 234 South State Street, Hampshire, Illinois 60140 (phone: 312-683-2181), between the hours of nine o'clock (9:00) A.M. through three o'clock (3:00) P.M. Monday through Friday.
2. Requests for information shall be made on an application form provided by the clerk. All requests shall be decided upon within the times set forth in the Illinois Freedom of Information Act.
3. Upon any denial of a request for information by any village official other than the village president, the person making the request may appeal said denial to the village president by filing a written notice of appeal with the village clerk, on a form available from the village clerk, within fourteen (14) days of the date of the letter of denial.
4. Any person denied access to inspect or copy any public record by the head of a public body may file suit in the Circuit Court of Kane County, Geneva, Illinois, for injunctive or declaratory relief.
5. A fee of ten cents ($0.10) per page shall be charged for each copy of any document requested, except that a fee of one dollar ($1.00) shall be charged for each copy of the village zoning map or village comprehensive plan map. (1985 Code)
