N.J.S.A. 40A:9-146.1, adopted and effective January 6, 1982, states in pertinent part hereto that "Board of Assessors created prior to the effective date of this act are hereby abolished." The Town of Hammonton, by Ordinance No. 15-1972, previously created a Board of Assessors and, by virtue of this article, that ordinance, codified as Chapter 58 of the Code of the Town of Hammonton, is hereby repealed in its entirety.
