Violations of this article, unless another penalty is expressly provided by New Jersey Statutes, every person convicted of a violation of a provision of this chapter or any supplement thereto shall be liable to a penalty for a first offense of not more than $50 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 15 days, or both, and for a second offense of not more than $100 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 15 days, or both.
