As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
AGENCY
Any agency, board, governing body, including the chief, superintendent, department head, office, commission or other instrumentality within the Town of Hammonton, and independent local authority created by or appointed under the authority of the Town of Hammonton which performs functions other than of a purely advisory nature.
BUSINESS ORGANIZATION
Any corporation, partnership, firm, enterprise, franchise, association, trust, sole proprietorship, union or other legal entity.
EMPLOYEE
Any person, whether compensated or not, whether part-time or full-time, employed by or serving on an agency or board who is not a local government officer.
INTEREST
Ownership or control of more than 10% of the profits, assets or stock of a business organization, but shall not include the control of assets in a nonunion profit entity or labor union.
MEMBER OF IMMEDIATE FAMILY
The spouse or dependent child of an officer or employee residing in the same household.

Any person, whether compensated or not, whether part-time or full-time, who is one of the following:
A. Mayor and members of Council.
B. Town Clerk/Administrator.
C. Deputy Town Clerk.
D. Chief Financial Officer.
E. Construction Code Official.
F. Superintendent of Sewers.
G. Superintendent of Water.
H. Chief of Police.
I. Captain, Police Department.
J. Tax Assessor.
K. Town Attorney.
L. Town Engineer.
M. Town Planning Consultant.
N. Town Auditor.
O. Municipal Judge.
P. Town Prosecutor.
Q. Town Public Defender.
R. Planning Board member.
S. Planning Board Attorney.
T. Zoning Board of Adjustment member.
U. Zoning Board of Adjustment Attorney.
V. Local Assistance Board member.
W. Director of Public Assistance.
X. Park Commission member.
Y. Municipal Utilities Authority member.
Z. Fire Chief.
AA. Assistant Fire Chief.
BB. Rent Control Board member.
CC. Municipal Court Administrator.
DD. Municipal Court Deputy Administrator.
EE. Any other person who is a managerial executive or confidential employee, as defined in Section 3 of the New Jersey Employer - Employee Relations Act (N.J.S.A. 34:13A-3) of the Town of Hammonton or of any agency created under the authority of or appointed by the Town of Hammonton.
OFFICER OR EMPLOYEE
An officer or employee of the Town of Hammonton or any agency under the authority of or appointed by the Town of Hammonton.
