A. The spreading of any amount of regulated sludge or sludge-derived products without written approval in accordance with the procedures outlined in this chapter is a violation of this chapter.
B. Any person, firm or corporation who or which violates, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with this chapter shall immediately and without notice be subject to one or more of the following: a fine of not more than $1,000, imprisonment for a period not to exceed 90 days or a period of community service not to exceed 90 days per 100 acre plot, or less, in violation in Municipal Court. Each and every violation that continues shall be considered a separate violation and will be subject to additional fines not to exceed the above per 100 acre plot, or less, per day. In addition to these penalties a stop-work order shall be issued by the appropriate town authority until the violations are remedied.
