§ 204-1. Purpose.
During the past years there have been a number of lawsuits brought against municipalities by noncommercial groups which seek to do door-to-door solicitations. The federal courts have rendered, pursuant to the United States Constitution and principles based on case law, that noncommercial solicitations are distinguishable from commercial solicitation. It is the purpose of this article to amend the town ordinance so that it complies with federal law.
