An initial registration fee of $35 shall be paid to the Town Clerk at the time the applicant submits the registration form required by this chapter. Thereafter, an annual registration fee of $35 shall be paid on or before August 1 of each year. If any person or entity, who is required to obtain a registration pursuant to this chapter, does not register and pay the registration fee by August 1 of the respective year, the Construction Official will assess a late fee by August 15 of the respective year equal to 50% of the registration fee which is late. All late fees assessed against a business must be paid with the registration fee. In addition to any late fees, the business must pay all registration fees for the previous years that were not paid and applicable late charges. In any action to enforce this chapter, the Construction Official shall include all late fees and past due registration fee amounts in the summons and complaint filed against the business or other party.
