§ 82-5. License and registration fees; special purpose dogs.

   A.   Any person obtaining a (3 year) dog license in the Town of Hammonton shall pay $26.40 (local fee), $3.60 (state registration tag fee), and $9.00 (state nonspayed or nonneutered dog fee). Any person obtaining a (1 year) dog license in the Town of Hammonton shall pay $15.80 (local fee), $1.20 (state registration tag fee), and $3.00 (state nonspayed or nonneutered dog fee).

   B.   Dogs used as guides for blind persons and commonly known as "seeing-eye" dogs, dogs used to assist handicapped persons and commonly known as "service dogs," or dogs used to assist deaf persons and commonly known as "hearing ear" dogs shall be licensed and registered as other dogs hereinabove provided for, except that the owner or keeper of such dog shall not be required to pay any fee therefor. Editor's Note: Former Subsection C, regarding a late fee, added 4-24-1989 by Ord. No. 10-1989, which subsection immediately followed, was repealed 4-18-2011 by Ord. No. 10-2011.
