§ 175-126. Sidewalks. [Amended 11-28-2011 by Ord. No. 23-2011]
   A.   Concrete sidewalks shall have a compressive strength of 2,500 pounds per square inch after 28 days and shall be Class C concrete in accordance with New Jersey State Highway Specifications. Sidewalks shall not be less than four feet in width, nor less than four inches in thickness, except as driveways and aprons, which shall be not less than six inches in thickness. Sidewalks in Downtown Districts and Gateway Districts (see § 175-154.1 through § 175-154.7) shall not be less than five feet in width, not including planting strips. A preformed bituminous expansion joint filter, ½ inch thick, shall be a float finish with the edges finished with a suitable finishing tool. The engineer shall reject any concrete surface which has been defaced, marred or improperly finished.
   B.   Sidewalks in Downtown Districts DT-4 (see § 175-154.4 through § 175-154.7) shall be continuous, not including joints and brick pavers, from the build-to line to the curb.
   C.   Sidewalk construction shall comply with the latest standards of the American Disabilities Act (ADA) throughout the town. Within the downtown, and adjacent districts thereto, a specific theme for sidewalk construction which includes a brick ribbon border shall apply.
