§ 48-1. Holidays.

   A.   All full-time officers and employees of the Town of Hammonton, County of Atlantic and State of New Jersey shall be entitled to 14 holidays with pay in each year. In addition to the 14 holidays listed below, each employee will receive his/her birthday as an additional holiday. The 14 holidays shall be as follows:
      (1)   New Year's Day.
      (2)   Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
      (3)   President's Day.
      (4)   Good Friday.
      (5)   Easter Monday.
      (6)   Memorial Day.
      (7)   Independence Day.
      (8)   Labor Day.
      (9)   Columbus Day.
      (10)   General Election Day.
      (11)   Veterans Day.
      (12)   Thanksgiving Day.
      (13)   Day after Thanksgiving Day.
      (14)   Christmas Day.
   B.   All holidays are listed in Subsection A and in employees' contracts. The holidays may be accumulated and used at one time if permission is granted by the department head. A holiday may not be used until earned unless an employee signs, under oath, an agreement that he/she will pay back any holiday used but not earned if the employee leaves the Town employment or does not earn the accumulated time due to sickness or for any reason ceases to remain in the Town's employ.
