(A) The fees to be charged and collected by the town and deposited into the Law Enforcement Continuing Education Fund (LECE) include the following:
(1) From a person applying for a four year handgun license, a $10 application fee, $5 of which shall be refunded if the license is not issued;
(2) From a person applying for a lifetime handgun license who does not currently possess a valid Indiana handgun license, a $50 application fee, $30 of which shall be refunded if the license is not issued;
(3) From a person applying for a lifetime handgun license who currently possess a valid Indiana handgun license, a $40 application fee, $30 of which shall be refunded if the license is not issued; and
(4) For a copy of an accident report, a $5 fee.
(B) The fees to be charged and collected pursuant to this section shall be automatically amended from time to time as the Indiana Legislature amends the Indiana Code providing for the charging and collection of such fees by the local law enforcement agency and those new fees shall be charged and collected even though no formal amendment is made to this section.
