(A) Streets and alleys. All streets and alleys within the platted area which are dedicated for public use shall be brought to the grade approved by the City Council after receiving the report and recommendations of the City Engineer.

(B) Roadways. All roadways shall be a minimum of 20 feet wide with an eight-inch compacted base course, Type B with CA6 aggregate and a bituminous surface treatment, and Class A-3, as required by the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction for the Illinois Department of Transportation adopted July 1, 1976, and hereafter amended. At the contractor’s option, he or she may install streets with V-type curb with a minimum of 30 feet back to back on minor streets. Where major streets may be involved in the subdivision, a minimum of 34 feet back to back of curb will be required.
